The J22 Mpumalanga Championship 2010 sponsored by Applied Mineral Technologies Will be sailed at Witbank Yacht and Aquatic Club from Friday 23rd April to Monday 26th April 2010

CLEAN SWEEP PURSE Sponsored by Amtec of R1000.00 for every entry (R20,000 to R30,000) will be made to the skipper & crew who achieve 1st place for every race excluding 1 discarded score. Silver, Bronze and lower order prizes will be made throughout the fleet.

Post Race Analysis will be made by equipping the first five leading boats with Velocitek GPRS equipment (The units will be sealed and unable to be viewed or operated by the crew thus not contravening class rules). Tactics and courses of the leading skippers will be reviewed each evening on the large screen in the pub.

Registration shall be on Friday 23rd of April 2010.

Dates of Racing shall be on Saturday 24th, Sunday 25th, and Monday 26th and a reserve day, Tuesday 27th of April 2010.

Trophy’s, polished mahogany and glass trophies branded with AMTEC and J22 logos will be presented to the Class Mpumalanga Champion and the 2nd & 3rd place competitors.

Each entry will receive a A4 framed photograph of their yacht in action during the championship.

Youth crew Entries (all crew & helm <21) will receive a travelling allowance in to the value of one tank of fuel for the towing vehicle.
Social Events will be held each evening in the clubhouse including: Happy Hour at the club bar, Spot prizes and gifts, Nightly music and dancing from the clubs resident DJ, Live music on Saturday night from the accomplished band McKenzie Blue, and culminating with prize giving on Monday afternoon.

Catering at the Club, A full English breakfast and packed lunches wil be available on Saturday, Sunday & Monday. Dinner will be served on Friday Saturday and Sunday evening, at the all in price of R300.00 per person (R100.00 per head per day)
Additionally Lunch will be available on arrival on Friday.

Camping at the club is free, and braai facilities are available.
